Troy Cornea was born and raised in the Abacos by missionary parents. At age 11, he was sent to Florida to continue his education. After graduation, he attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University where in the fall of 1992 he earned a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering. The desire to return to his homeland was more important than a promising engineering career, so in the spring of 1993, he returned to this island paradise. Troy started Blue Wave Boat Rentals in 1997 at Harbour View Marina. Blue Wave Boat Rentals were the first to introduce a 24-hour emergency service. VHF radios as well as moving maps with GPS and depth sounders are standard equipment on our boats. After the devastation of Hurricane Floyd in 1999, he purchased the Marina property, one of the few remaining marinas in operation. Harbour View Marina is one of the few Bahamian-owned and operated marinas in Marsh Harbour. Combining excellent service with renovated facilities, Harbour View Marina is now the centerpiece in the harbour of Marsh Harbour.
